Communication Minister received in Malabo by President of Equatorial Guinea

ALGIERS — In his capacity as the special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, was received on Wednesday in Malabo by the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, as per a ministry statement.

During this meeting, the Minister of Communication “delivered a letter from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to his Equatorial Guinean counterpart, expressing his brotherly greetings and his aspirations for stronger, productive bilateral cooperation,” the statement said.

The meeting also provided “an opportunity to exchange views on the state and prospects of cooperative relations between the two countries and to review ways to boost them, in line with the shared visions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, with a view to backing the partnership between the two countries,” the same source said.

Following these discussions, both parties underscored “the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on regional and international issues of common interest, particularly those related to the African Union agenda.”
