As special envoy of President Tebboune, Communication Minister received by Botswana's President

ALGIERS — In his capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Communication Minister Mohamed Meziane was received Thursday in Gaborone by the President of the Republic of Botswana, Duma Gideon Boko, the ministry said in a press release.

During this meeting, “Mohamed Meziane delivered a letter from the President of the Republic to his Botswanan counterpart, conveying President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's brotherly greetings and his aspirations to enhance bilateral cooperation ties and coordination in various areas of mutual interest,” the statement noted.

Minister Meziane and President Boko held discussions that centered on “means to boost bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Botswana, particularly in the agricultural and energy sectors,” the same source said.

The talks also addressed forthcoming continental events, focusing on enhancing pan-African collaboration and solidarity.

Following the talks, both parties pledged to “maintain ongoing consultation mechanisms to advance bilateral cooperation and promote the interests of both countries and Africa as a whole,” the statement wrapped up.
