“The Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, chaired a government meeting on Wednesday, 5 February 2025, dedicated to studying the recommendations from the sixth Government-Governors meeting held on 24-25 December 2024, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, aimed at accelerating local development and addressing challenges related to strengthening the role of local communities in investment, upgrading urban environment, and expediting the regularization of incomplete buildings, in addition to utilizing small activity zones at the municipal level and allocating them for youth benefit while enhancing real estate offerings for the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency and accelerating the recovery of unexploited lands with the aim of creating wealth and generating employment.
The government also discussed the integrated phosphate project of Bled El Hadba in its railway line part, specifically Bouchegouf-Oued Keberit section.
The government also listened to a presentation on mechanisms for supporting women victims of violence, where the reality of this phenomenon was reviewed along with ways to strengthen prevention mechanisms, reduce its occurrence, and support victims through various programs and legislative measures aimed at enhancing women’s protection and providing necessary resources when needed.
The government also heard a presentation on the status of team and elite sports as well as their development prospects, examining the reality of team sports in Algeria and ways to promote and develop them, especially in light of the significant efforts made by the State to support sports, including school and university sports, as well as considerable investments directed towards strengthening supervision, training, developing sports facilities, and supporting national athletic elite and talents.”
