Algerian MPs attend meeting of PA-PfM financing task force in Brussels

ALGIERS- An Algerian parliamentary delegation took part Thursday, in Brussels, in the meeting of the task force on financing and the revision of the rules of procedure of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PA-PfM), the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament) said in a statement.

The participants to the meeting stressed "the need to speed up the creation of the permanent general secretariat of the PA-PfM to boost the joint Euro-Mediterranean parliamentary action, in the light of the transformations and changes taking place in the world," according to the statement.

The Algerian delegation was made up of the deputy chairman of the upper house's Committee on Legal and Administrative Affairs, Human Rights, Local Organization, Spatial Planning and Territorial Division, Omar Dadi Adoun, Senator Noureddine Habib and the member of the People's National Assembly (lower house of Parliament) Fatima Rebai, as deputy chairman of the Committee on Women's Rights in the PA-PfM Euro-Mediterranean countries.
