In this respect, “the Minister of State delivered to the Syrian president a letter from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, conveying his fraternal greetings and renewing his congratulations and wishes for success in carrying out his high functions during this pivotal stage in the history of Syria, a brotherly country,” according to the press release.
During this meeting, the two parties “examined prospects for strengthening relations of fraternity, solidarity and cooperation between the two brotherly countries and peoples, in light of the deep-rooted historical ties that unite them,” added the same source.
The two parties also discussed “recent developments at national and regional levels.”
In this regard, the Minister of State affirmed that “Algeria is ready to contribute, both bilaterally and in its capacity as an Arab member of the United Nations Security Council, to support and accompany steps aimed at uniting the Syrian people around a unifying national project allowing for the reconstruction of state institutions and guaranteeing security, stability, development and prosperity,” concluded the press release.
