Attaf received by Prime Minister of Lebanon

ALGIERS-The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, was received Sunday in Beirut by Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, as part of his visit as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the ministry said in a press release.

During this meeting, “Attaf reiterated to the Prime Minister his sincere congratulations on his appointment as Prime Minister and on the official announcement of the Government formation, while expressing his wishes for success in fulfilling his responsibilities,” according to the press release.

Attaf also reaffirmed “Algeria’s solidarity and its readiness to continue providing all forms of support to Lebanese brothers during this delicate and decisive period of their history.”

The meeting allowed “to examine ways to enshrine the willingness of the two leaders in order to strengthen and expand their relations in various fields.”

In this respect, the two parties agreed to accelerate the activation of the joint intergovernmental commission and to encourage exchanges between businessmen and economic operators through the joint Business Council.
