In a statement released by the Lebanese Presidency, following the audience granted by President Joseph Aoun to the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, the Lebanese President expressed his gratitude for “the support provided to Lebanon by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.”

The Lebanese President also praised Algeria’s positions in favour of Lebanon at the UN Security Council, particularly during the latest Zionist aggression.

President Aoun thanked the President of the Republic for the invitation to visit Algeria and asked Ahmed Attaf to convey his greetings and wishes for success as well as his wishes for progress and prosperity to the Algerian people.

Emphasizing the importance of revitalizing relations between the two countries, the Lebanese President reaffirmed his determination to develop them in all areas.

As special envoy of the President of the Republic, Attaf is conducting an official visit to Lebanon during which he delivered to the Lebanese President a letter from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
