Chaib receives Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of European Affairs

ALGIERS-The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, received on Thursday the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece in charge of European Affairs, Alexandra Papadopoulou, who is paying a working visit to Algeria, the ministry said in a press release.

During this meeting, “the Secretary of State and his Greek counterpart discussed the state of bilateral relations and prospects for their development, in addition to international and regional issues of common interest,” said the press release.

The meeting also allowed to discuss “the opportunities for bilateral cooperation in various areas relating to diaspora affairs and consular matters, emphasizing the role of the Algerian community established in Greece and the importance of addressing its concerns as part of implementing the country’s high authorities’ directives,” concluded the press release.
