During this call following the official visit paid by the Minister of State to Beirut, as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the two parties discussed “developments in Southern Lebanon, particularly the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Lebanese territories,” according to the press release.

In this respect, Attaf “reiterated Algeria’s solidarity with Lebanon in the face of flagrant violations of its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” affirming “Algeria’s readiness to continue its support for Lebanon, particularly in its capacity as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council,” added the press release.
