President of the Republic extends condolences on death of Mujahid, friend of Revolution "Félix Louis Giro Colozzi"

ALGIERS - President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message of condolences on Sunday to the family of the mujahid and friend of the Algerian Revolution, Félix Louis Giro Colozzi, who passed away at the age of 95.

"To the family of the deceased Félix Louis Giro Colozzi, I learned with deep emotion of the death of the friend of the Revolution, the late Colozzi Félix, who, following the outbreak of the glorious Liberation Revolution, chose to join its ranks as a militant and mujahid, convinced of the righteousness of the Algerian people's struggle against colonial domination, enduring the hardships of the Serkadji and Lambèse prisons, as well as those in France. The Algeria he had chosen as his country of residence welcomed him and granted him citizenship, allowing him to hold important positions within national institutions, with pride and dignity," reads the message of condolences.

"During this painful ordeal, I wish to extend my sincere condolences to you and to all the mujahideen who knew him, and to express my deepest feelings of compassion. I pray to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased His holy mercy, and to provide you with patience and comfort," the President of the Republic added.
