Under president's directive, Attaf arrives in Maputo for official visit

ALGIERS- The minister of State, minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, arrived Monday in Maputo for an official visit to the Republic of Mozambique, a sister country, under the directive of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the ministry said in a statement.

The visit is part of the joint efforts to give greater impetus to the ties of friendship and historical solidarity between Algeria and Mozambique, the statement said.

During the visit, Ahmed Attaf will be received by the president of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo.

He will also have a working meeting with his Mozambican counterpart, Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas, the statement said.
