National Martyr’s Day, an opportunity to renew our fidelity to the martyrs’ message

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament), mujaheed Salah Goudjil, affirmed that the commemoration of National Martyr’s Day is an occasion to renew fidelity to the martyrs’ message from which a new victorious Algeria was born that preserves their heritage and honours their testament.

“On this National Martyr’s Day, we bow with respect to the memory of the martyrs in recognition of their immense sacrifices,” wrote Goudjil in a social media post.

“We renew our pride in their achievements which reduced French colonialism’s illusions to nothing, as well as our fidelity to their message that remains vivid in our memories. From this was born a new victorious Algeria, which preserves their heritage and honours their testament anchored in the DNA of generations: “Take care of Algeria.”
