Attaf pays courtesy visit to former Mozambican President Joaquim Chissano

ALGIERS — The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, paid on Tuesday a courtesy visit to the former president of Mozambique and honorary president of the International Association of Friends of the Algerian Revolution, Joaquim Alberto Chissano, at the conclusion of his official visit to the Republic of Mozambique, according to a ministry statement.

On this occasion, Attaf conveyed to Joaquim Alberto Chissano “the brotherly greetings of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as well as his sincere wishes for health and well-being,” the statement said.

The meeting, which coincided with the commemoration of the National Shaheed Day, “provided an opportunity to reflect on the longstanding relations between Algeria and Mozambique—marked by solidarity, mutual support and common struggle against colonialism.”
