ALGIERS- The Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament) will participate, through a joint delegation made up of both houses of parliament, in the proceedings of the 19th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), scheduled for February 20-21 in Rome, Italy, the council said Wednesday in a statement.

The session’s agenda includes the examination and adoption of reports and draft decisions drawn up by PAM’s standing committees, namely the Committee on Political and Security-related Cooperation, the Committee on Economic, Social and Environmental Cooperation and the Committee on Dialogue among Civilisations and Human Rights, the statement said.

The delegation of the Council of the Nation is composed of senators and members of the PAM, namely Ahmed Bennai, as head of the delegation, Mohamed Hachemi Debabeche, Senator Mohamed Sahli and Senator Sid Ahmed Agboubi, according to the statement.
