Mansouri held "a bilateral meeting with the Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, with whom she exchanged views on key global peace and security issues, particularly in Africa, which faces various threats, including armed conflicts, terrorism, and organized crime.

These are issues to which the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs attaches great importance in its work."

The Secretary of State also held "a bilateral meeting with Deputy Adviser to the United Nations Office of Military Affairs (OMA), Cheryl Pearce, during which the two parties exchanged views on the various challenges facing UN peacekeeping operations due to the current international context, marked by an alarming rise in geopolitical tensions, as well as multiple political and security crises," concluded the same source.
