President Tebboune extends Ramadan greetings to Algerian people

ALGIERS — The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, extended his greetings to the Algerian people on Friday evening, marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, urging to “bolster the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity that is deeply rooted in the Algerian society, which now enjoys security and stability.”

The President of the Republic presented his well-wishes to the Algerian people, translated by APS as follows:

“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

Prayer and peace be upon our Prophet and Guide Mohammed (PBUH),

My fellow citizens,

As the sacred month of Ramadan 1446 begins, I am delighted to convey my warmest and most sincere wishes to you all.

We welcome this holy month of spiritual significance that encourages us to deepen the brotherhood and solidarity rooted in the Algerian society, which now enjoys security and stability, at a time when our country has made, thanks to its daughters and sons, significant progress in fulfilling commitments and securing gains that directly impact citizens, notably in preserving purchasing power and combating all forms of speculation, particularly concerning the food of Algerians.

I also wish to take this opportunity to convey my warmest and most heartfelt wishes to our children living abroad, imploring Almighty Allah to accept their fasting and prayers, while remembering our brothers in wounded Palestine, for whom we pray that Allah eases their pain and unites their ranks.

I wish you all a blessed Ramadan.

Long live Algeria.

Glory and eternity to our valiant Martyrs.

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you all.”
