During a conference held at the National Army Circle of Beni Messous, in Algiers, commemorating the 65th anniversary of the martyrdom of Colonel Lotfi and Commander Faradj, and the 66th anniversary of the martyrdom of Colonels Si-El Haoues and Amirouche, Rebiga said that “Algeria, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is advancing toward victory, remaining faithful to the oath of the valiant martyrs and the eternal message of 1 November 1954.”
These martyr leaders, namely Colonel Lotfi, Commander Faradj, Colonel Si El Haoues and Colonel Amirouche, were integral, complementary figures in launching the Revolution, liberating the homeland and recovering its sovereignty, he affirmed.
The minister further emphasized that the Algerian people “pay tribute each year, particularly in March, to the memory of the glorious martyrs.”
In this respect, Rebiga urged today’s generations to “follow in their footsteps and draw lessons from their journey (...) to overcome challenges, in recognition of the sacrifices made by the children of the nation for independence and freedom.”
