Aoun meets Baladna CEO to discuss infant milk plant project  

ALGIERS-The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun received Thursday the CEO of “Baladna” Qatari company, Mohamad Moutaz Al-Khayyat, with whom he discussed the project to build an infant milk plant, said the Ministry in a statement.

During his meeting held at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the delegation accompanying the CEO of “Baladna” Company, and Qatar’s Ambassador to Algiers, Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama, Aoun stressed the importance of this “vital” project, emphasizing the need to comply with international quality standards in this field.

The minister also expressed “his sector’s willingness to accompany this project and provide the necessary support and facilities for its success, in coordination with the sectors concerned,” said the source.

He commended bilateral ties that “will get further enhanced with the implementation of other projects in the fields of pharmaceutical industry, steel industry, packaging and others,” said the source.

For his part, the CEO of “Baladna” expressed his satisfaction with the “development of Algeria-Qatar relations in the field of industry, especially the infantile milk plant project that will be launched after the signing of the MoU on Thursday evening.”

The source said the Qatari side welcomed broadening industry cooperation to other fields.[/ecr]
