The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the opening of the African Creative Days 2024 “CANEX WKND 2024” in Algiers, focused on “ways to boost cooperation between Algeria and BADEA, particularly in financing projects contributing to the development of trade and exports to African markets.”

Both parties underscored the importance of backing cooperation in financing strategic food security projects, with a view to bolstering productive capacities and ensuring their sustainability, the same source noted.

In this respect, Zitouni said that investing in food security “goes beyond meeting local needs; it also contributes to economic growth and increases trade volume with African countries.”

The minister further underscored the importance of cooperation with BADEA “to develop an integrated economic system serving common interests.”

He added that such economic partnerships contribute to sustainable economic growth and expand investment opportunities at the continental level, the statement concluded.[/ecr]
