Arkab to participate in JMMC, ministerial meetings

ALGIERS-The Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, will participate Thursday, via videoconference, in the 57th meeting of the OPEC/non-OPEC Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), and the 38th OPEC and OPEC+ ministerial meeting, the ministry said in a press release.

During this meeting, the ministers of the nine member countries of the committee will discuss “the compliance levels of OPEC+ members with the production cuts agreement for September and October 2024, in accordance with the decisions taken by OPEC+ countries, as part their joint efforts to ensure stability in the global oil market,” said the same source.

The JMMC will gather the seven OPEC members: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Nigeria and Venezuela, as well as the two non-member countries: Russia and Kazakhstan.

Arkab will also participate, on the same day and remotely, in the 38th ministerial meeting of OPEC countries and non-OPEC countries (OPEP+), bringing together the oil ministers of the 22 countries signatories to the cooperation Declaration, added the same source.
