Algeria-South-Africa Economic Forum opens in Algiers

ALGIERS- Algeria-South-Africa Economic Forum started Thursday in Algiers, under the co-chairmanship of the minister of Foreign Trade and Exports Promotion, Mohamed Boukhari, and the South-African minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Parks Tau.

The economic forum, organized by the ministry of Foreign Trade and Exports Promotion in coordination with the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion and the Algerian Council of Algerian Renewal, brings together businessmen and economic operators of the two countries, representing various economic sectors and investment areas.

Themed "For a sustainable and productive partnership," the forum's agenda includes several B-to-B business meetings between economic operators from the two countries, aiming to explore business opportunities and develop partnerships.

The meeting is being held on the occasion of the state visit of the president of South-African, Cyril Ramaphosa, to Algeria from Thursday.

The two countries, which have huge economic potential and strong historical relations, want to step up their strategic partnership and explore new ways to intensify cooperation.
