Focused on research and development (R&D), this program will facilitate the sharing of knowledge and technologies in the agricultural sector through thematic workshops. It will also provide funding for research projects and training for researchers, according to the details provided by the director of INRAA.
Ferrah spoke on the sidelines of the closing workshop of the cooperation activities between INRAA and the Korean International Agriculture Program, known as “KOPIA.”
“A cycle of cooperation is coming to an end, and a new cycle will start with South Korea,” he noted, explaining that this new program aims to consolidate and deepen cooperation and partnership in sustainable agricultural development, in order to meet the challenges of food security in a context marked by climate change.
According to Ferrah, the cooperation program with KAFACI will provide an ideal framework for exploring new avenues of research and innovation in the agricultural sector, with a particular focus on developing standard and hybrid seeds adapted to changing climatic conditions.
