Sonatrach, six holding and public industrial groups renew framework agreements

ALGIERS- Sonatrach and six holding companies as well as public industrial groups, signed on Monday in Algiers, framework agreements as part of the policy promoting local production and national integration.

The signing ceremony was held at Sonatrach’s headquarters, in the presence of the Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Sifi Ghrieb, Sonatrach’s CEO, Rachid Hachichi, as well as CEOs of holdings companies and public industrial groups signatories to the framework agreements.

It includes DIVINDUS industrial group, the national company of steel (SNS, former IMETAL), ACS holding, AGM industrial group, ELEC EL DJAZAIR Holding as well as GETEX Holding.

These agreements aim to provide goods and services by the economic public establishments of these holdings and industrial groups in favour of Sonatrach and its subsidiaries.

They extend over a period of three (3) years and are part of Sonatrach’s policy aimed at promoting local production and national integration, under which Sonatrach has committed to “favour the resort, as a priority, to the national production tools, when these are able to meet its needs, while respecting quality, cost and deadlines.”

These new agreements aim to “reduce dependence on imports, except for raw materials or components not available locally, and to the commitment of the signatory Holdings and industrial groups that their economic public establishments provide their goods and services at preferential prices to Sonatrach and its subsidiaries, ensuring competitiveness in terms of quality, cost, and deadlines,” emphasized Sonatrach.
