This workshop will see the participation of renowned national scientists and experts, sector officials, led by the Secretaries of State to the Minister of Energy in charge of Mining and Renewable Energy, the CEOs of Sonatrach, Sonarem and Sonelgaz Groups, as well as presidents of agencies and organizations under the sector, representatives from official institutions, research and development companies and institutes, investors and researchers, said the same source.
The workshop aims to “shed the light on the strategic importance of lithium, commonly known as +white gold+, and to explore its promising potential in Algeria as a significant resource that promotes the energetic transition,” added the minister, emphasizing that this initiative is part of “the ambitious vision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aiming to diversify the national economy by exploiting the country’s strategic resources.”
The workshop discussions will focus on the significant potential of this valuable resource that Algeria possesses and the need to develop an integrated strategy aimed at transforming lithium into an effective catalyst for economic and industrial growth, particularly in light of Algeria’s efforts to develop the renewable energy sector and strengthen its global position in this field.
