Faid chairs IsDB Governors meeting in Medina

ALGIERS — Finance Minister Laaziz Faid chaired on Sunday in Medina, Saudi Arabia, a meeting of Finance Ministers, Governors of the 57 member countries of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, focusing on the strategic framework for 2025-2035, according to a ministry statement.

During this meeting, “participants examined the IsDB's decade-long action plan, with a view to fulfilling member countries' aspirations as a development partner while strengthening their commitment to financing development projects through innovative financing mechanisms,” the statement said.

In his speech on this occasion, Faid underscored the importance of this meeting, especially as the IsDB undergoes a transformation phase that requires addressing both present and future challenges, along with the development difficulties faced by member countries.

The minister also emphasized how vital ideas and input are in shaping the new strategic framework, paving the way for a roadmap that will enable the IsDB Group to carry out its missions effectively and excellently in the years ahead, the source said.
