Yassaa receives head of Amidoul Foundation, winner of World Habitat Awards

ALGIERS- The Secretary of State to the Minister of Energy, in charge of Renewable Energy, Noureddine Yassaa, received on Wednesday Ahmed Nouh, the president of “Amidoul” foundation, which won the bronze medal at the World Habitat Awards, organized in partnership with UN-Habitat, the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Renewable Energy said in a press release.

During this meeting, Yassaa congratulated “Amidoul” foundation, headquartered in Beni Isguen (Ghardaïa), for its international achievements, the latest being the bronze medal won at the World Habitat Awards, organized in partnership with UN-Habitat, for its “Tafilalt Tajdit” ksar project, the statement said.

 

The project features an eco-friendly traditional settlement comprising 1,050 housing units across 22 hectares, designed to preserve both the environment and local architectural heritage.

 

The meeting, which included Secretary of State Yassaa,  Nouh, and Hadj Slimane Baâli, President of the Beni Isguen Council of Notables, provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing and planned energy, economic, environmental, and social initiatives in the province of Ghardaïa region.[/ecr]
