Tafer discusses bilateral cooperation with Tunisia’s Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy

ALGIERS — The Secretary of State to the Minister of Energy, in charge of Mines, Karima Tafer, held talks with Tunisia's Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chaiboub, on ways to boost bilateral cooperation, on the sidelines of her participation in the 4th International Meeting of Ministers in charge of Mining Affairs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Renewable Energy said Thursday in a statement.

According to the statement, both parties reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation and explored prospects for its development, particularly in the mining sector. The meeting was also attended by the CEO of Sonarem Group.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and partnerships between companies from both countries, as well as on knowledge and expertise exchange and the implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects.

Both parties expressed their shared willingness to strengthen cooperation in projects that contribute to sustainable development, particularly in the field of exploration, exploitation and processing of mineral resources, the same source wrapped up.
