In response to a question about the sector’s strategy to promote tourism, during a plenary session at the People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament) dedicated to oral questions, Meddahi revealed that “the remaining tourist projects, totalling 637, are currently under development.”

“80 tourist expansion zones equipped with tourist development plans have been completed, including 52 in coastal provinces, 15 in high plateau provinces, and 13 in the great south,” she added.

“The sector has made tourist land available to investors and developers and granted them tax advantages, in order to encourage them to develop zones inscribed as part of tourist expansion,” emphasized the minister.
