Arkab participated in the 58th meeting of the OPEC/non-OPEC Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), held Monday via videoconference, attended by the president of the National Agency for Hydrocarbon Resources Development (ALNAFT), Mourad Beldjehem, and ministry officials, the same source added.

During the meeting, Arkab affirmed that “recent measures adopted by OPEC+ countries have ensured stability in the international oil market, benefiting both producers and consumers,” while noting that “despite persistent uncertainties, market fundamentals remain broadly solid.”

“The global economy is showing resilience, and signs of growth recovery are emerging in several regions. After a seasonal slowdown in oil demand during the first three months of the year, we anticipate a stronger recovery starting from April,” said Arkab.

As for the meeting Arkab noted that “the JMMC ministers exchanged views on the current situation of the oil market and its prospects for evolution in the coming weeks.”
