On this occasion, both parties affirmed their willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various economic domains, particularly those related to environmental protection and green economy, through examining investment and partnership opportunities between economic operators from both countries.
The Forum is organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Algeria, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, on the occasion of Hladik's visit to Algeria.
Hladik is leading a delegation of approximately twenty businessmen operating in multiple sectors such as renewable energy, agricultural equipment, water treatment and management and technological solutions. The delegation also included parliamentarians.
This meeting was held in the presence of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Algeria, the President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), the President of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI), and representatives of organizations concerned with investment and trade.
In a speech delivered at the opening of this meeting, Djilali said that this Forum serves as a platform to exchange expertise between Algeria and the Czech Republic, focusing on strengthening institutional and economic cooperation.
Her vision centered on “exploring the means, mechanisms and tools to be put in place to unify the efforts of both countries towards a more environmentally sustainable future.”
She noted that Algeria has adhered to and ratified all important international conventions and environmental protocols of the United Nations, including those related to environmental protection and sustainable development.
For his part, the Czech Minister of the Environment said that exchanges between the two countries are not up to the level of their potential.
He added that this Business Forum would help foster cooperation in several domains, notably “green energy, water treatment and management, cutting-edge technologies and circular economy.”
