After highlighting the vital role of this continental energy infrastructure that contributes to the development and diversification of Africa’s economy, Ekperikpe praised Algeria and Niger for taking this new step "towards the realization of the joint project."
According to Ekperikpe, the ministerial meeting, which brought together the energy ministers of the three countries, was "fruitful," thanks to the spirit of cooperation, emphasizing, moreover, the importance of exploiting the vast gas resources that Algeria and Nigeria possess through the TSGP.
The Minister of Petroleum of the Republic of Niger, Sahabi Oumarou, also expressed his satisfaction with the conclusions of the tripartite meeting, stressing that Algeria, Niger, and Nigeria "share common interests, a common fate, and a common future, and that the TSGP is truly intended to be an integrated African infrastructure."
