ALGIERS- Sonelgaz CEO, Mourad Adjal, received on Monday in Algiers a delegation from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), with whom he discussed opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the Group and Japanese companies, said the group in a statement. 

[ecr] The meeting, marked by the participation of 15 Japanese companies and led by Director General of JETRO-Europe, Akihiko Aki Tamura, took place at the headquarters of Sonelgaz, in the presence of Japanese Ambassador to Algeria, Suzuki

Kotaro, and senior executives of the Group, the source added. 

This meeting is part of the working visit by the Japanese delegation to Algeria to address the various economic sectors, particularly the energy sector, and part of "Sonelgaz's efforts to renew its cooperative relations with Japanese economic operators."

In this regard, the two parties discussed the deep historical relations between Algeria and Japan, the source said. 

For his part, Adjal emphasized "the interest of the country's high authorities in encouraging the Japanese companies to remain in the Algerian market, offering them a favorable business climate."

Furthermore, the Japanese Ambassador to Algeria welcomed the willingness of the country's high authorities to welcome Japanese investors to Algeria, stressing that the Japanese authorities share the same vision as their Algerian counterparts

regarding the significant investment opportunities offered by the Algerian market. [/ecr]
