This agreement, whose signing ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Industry, Sifi Ghrieb, aims to launch the production of plastic and rubber parts through the subsidiary, the Plastic and Rubber group (ENPC), in order to support the automotive industry sector for the manufacturing of these parts in Algeria and increase the rate of national integration, in accordance with the instructions of public authorities.

The ministry underscored that this step constitutes the first phase before developing this partnership towards the creation of a joint venture specialized in this field with the Italian partner, in anticipation of launching other automobile manufacturing brands.

The foreign partner “expressed willingness to meet all necessary conditions, by leveraging its experience of more than 60 years, with technology transfer and quality control assurance, thanks to its advanced laboratories in the field of conformity certification,” according to the press release.
