The Minister of Industry, Sifi Ghrieb, chaired the signing ceremony between “Anabib,” a subsidiary of the National Steel Company (SNS), and the Chinese company specialized in manufacturing automotive parts, regarding the creation of a joint venture that will produce automotive spare parts at the “PTS” unit in Reghaia (Algiers).
The initial phase of production will focus on car headlights and bumpers, with plans to manufacture other accessories and parts in the future. This initiative will contribute to “strengthening Algeria’s capacity to meet the needs of the local market,” said the press release.
In this respect, the Minister of Industry praised this initiative, emphasizing that it “mirrors the government’s policy in supporting strategic partnerships that contribute to technology transfer and the development of the national industrial product.”
He added that this initiative “will play a key role in reducing reliance on imports by providing high-quality spare parts at competitive prices, which will contribute to the development of the automotive manufacturing sector in Algeria.”
For their part, representatives of the company “Auto Lumiar” expressed their commitment to transferring their expertise and advanced technology to Algeria, stating that this cooperation “represents a successful model of industrial partnership between Algeria and China," according to the same source.
