56th Algiers International Fair to be held June 23-28

ALGIERS- The 56th Algiers International Fair will be held on June 23-28 at the Exhibition Centre of Algiers, under the patronage of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Algeria Exhibitions, a subsidiary of the Algerian Company of Fairs and Exhibitions (SAFEX), said Monday in a statement.

The fair is an "annual economic event organized by Algeria to shed light on national products, providing an opportunity for Algerian and foreign producers to promote their outputs and investments, and make exchanges in various areas of activity," the statement said, adding that the Sultanate of Oman will be the event's guest of honour.

Algeria Exhibitions said "relations between Algeria and Oman have progressed and evolved since the creation of the Algerian-Omani Joint Commission in 1991."

The 56th Algiers International Fair will cover several strategic sectors, including the agri-food industry, electrical and household appliance industries, mechanical engineering, manufacturing and services.

A direct sales area will also be available.

The guest of honour in the previous editions of the Algiers International Fair were Egypt, India, Russia, the United States, Italy, Cameroon, Tunisia, Portugal and Turkey.
