RIYADH- Algerian wrestler Sid Azara Bachir (87 kg) won the gold medal at the World Combat Games 2023 (U21), which is held in Saudi Arabia, while his compatriots Mohamed-Yacine Dridi (60 kg) and Adem Boudjemline (97 kg) won the silver medal.

In the quarter finals of the Greco-Roman wrestling, Sid Azara Bachir dominated Kuwaiti Alshenab Abdullah Shim (5-0), before beating Bahraini Saipudinov Khidir Kurban (3-0) in the semi-finals.

In the final, the Algerian champion of Africa and the Mediterranean defeated easily Saudi Alsibyani Sanad Adnan (4-0). 

For his part, Adem Boudjemline (97 kg) defeated in the quarter of finals Saudi Fallatah Ibrahim Mohamed (4-0) and dominated then Tunisian Missaoui Mohamed Skander (3-1) in the semi-finals. The Algerian wrestler grabbed the silver medal after being defeated by Egyptian Gabr Mohamed Aly Elsayed (5-0).

Mohamed-Yacine Dridi (60 kg) who beat in the semi-finals Tunisian Hkiri Mohamed Yassine (5-0), lost the final in the face of Moroccan Ettalibi Ismail (3-1).
