African Handball Championship: Algeria in final against Egypt after beating Cape Verde 32-26

CAIRO-The Algerian men’s handball team qualified for the final of the 2024 African Men’s Handball Championship, following their semi-final win over Cape Verde 32-26 (half-time 16-08), which was played on Thursday in Cairo.

In their 14th continental final, the Algerian handball team will face off against their Egyptian counterpart, the two-time defending champions, who on Thursday defeated Tunisia 30-25.

The championship final and 3rd place game are scheduled for Saturday in the Egyptian capital.

The champion of this 26th African Handball Championship will directly qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, while the runner-up and the third-place team will compete in a qualifying tournament (TQT) next March.
