Following the loss 2 to 0 last Sunday in the first leg in Cotonou, the coach Wahiba Rahal’s players made a comeback thanks to the goals of Noura Ait El Kadi (64th) as well as Zaza Rebbahi (74th), and secured their qualification in the decisive penalty shootout.
In the 3rd and final round, the U17 team will meet either Niger or Morocco, who will face off in their qualifying matchup.
The first leg will be played away (10-12 May 2024), while the second one will be at home between 17-19 May 2024.
The next edition of the U17 Women’s World Cup will be held in the Dominican Republic. The previous one took place in India in 2022 and was won by Spain, who defeated Colombia 1-0 in the final.
