Gymnastics / Romgym Trophy 2024: Algerian Kaylia Nemour clinches four gold medals

BUCHAREST- The Algerian gymnast Kaylia Nemour clinched four gold medals in the World Gymnastic Championship “Romgym Trophy-2024,” held on Saturday and Sunday in Bucharest, in Romania, a few weeks before the beginning of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games (26 July- 11 August).

The 17-year-old Algerian dominated this competition, snatching the gold medals of the competition thanks to her best personal performance with 56,900 pts, 15,667pts in the uneven bars event, 14,733pts in the balance beam event, and 15,533pts in floor event.

 In the general competition, Nemour won 15,550 points in the uneven bars (7,3 degree of difficulty), 14,400 points in the balance beam, 13,500 in the floor and 13,450 points in the vault event.

  Romania’s competition is the last for Kaylia Nemour, before the 2024 Olympic Games, where she has great chances to win medals for Algeria.[/ecr]
