2024 Rugby Africa Cup: Algeria beats Ivory Coast 32-12 to reach semis

KAMPALA — The Algerian rugby team (senior men) secured a spot in the 2024 Africa Nations Cup semi-finals by defeating Ivory Coast 32-12, with a half-time score of 16-12, in Saturday’s quarter-final match at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Kampala.

Algeria’s rugby squad, in Kampala since Thursday, will face Kenya in the semi-finals next Wednesday at “Mutesi 2” stadium.

Kenya advanced after a convincing 36-17 win over Senegal.

Meanwhile, Namibia dominated Burkina Faso with a 38-5 victory and will face either Zimbabwe or Uganda in the semi-finals, pending the result of their quarter-final match.
