PARIS (France)- The Algerian middle-distance runner Djamel Sedjati has booked a berth in the semifinals of the 800m, at the Paris Olympics 2024, while Mohamed-Ali Gouaned and Slimane Moula will have to go through the repechages, following the qualifiers held Wednesday at the Stade de France.

Holder of the best performance in 800m this year, Sedjati has confirmed the results he has achieved throughout the season by finishing first in the fourth heat, clocking 1:45.84, ahead of British Giles Eliot (1:45.93) and American Kessler Hobbs (1:46.15).

The three athletes have directly qualified for the semifinals.

The middle-distance runners Mohamed-Ali Gouaned and Slimane Moula will have to go through the repechage to secure a spot in the semifinals.
