The twenty-six (26) athletes of the Algerian delegation share the ambition to shine at the Paralympic Games: 20 in para-athletics, including six women, three in para-powerlifting, including one woman, two in para-judo, and one in para-canoeing, following intense preparation and a strong work ethic.

“They are currently among our top performers in the four disciplines. They have the ability to rise to the challenge and bring honour to national, Arab and African para-sports,” the National Technical Director (DTN), Salim Boutebcha.

Led by reigning world champions such as Athmani Skander-Djamil (200m and 400m), Safia Djelal (shot put/F57), and Nassima Saifi (discus/F57), among others, the Algerian Paralympians are capable of competing with the world's best outstanding performances.
