PARIS — Algerian athlete Lynda Hamri secured a bronze medal in the T12 long jump event at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, held Sunday at the Saint-Denis stadium.

Hamri, 35, delivered her best performance of the year, leaping 5.30m on her second attempt in a fierce contest featuring nine competitors.

As expected, Ukrainian Oksana Zubkovska, the world and Paralympic record holder, clinched gold with a leap of 5.78m. Spain's Sara Martinez secured silver with a jump of 5.40m.
