Arab Military Boxing Championship (Day 3): Algerian pugilists clinch five gold medals

ALGIERS- Algerian boxers grabbed five gold medals on the third and penultimate day of the third Arab Military Boxing Championship, being hosted, until Thursday, at the Martyr Messaoud Boudjeriou Training and Preparation Centre for Military Sports Teams in Ben Aknoun, Algiers.

Algerian boxer Boualem Fares Belaradj snatched a gold medal by knockout (KO) against Qatari Abdellah Hassan Elbadr, in the -92kg final event.

His compatriot, Mohamed Yacine Tourag, won a gold medal in the final bout against Tunisian Omar Semrani, in the final of the -51kg class.

In the -54 kg class, Algerian Amine Zenane got the gold medal of his class, by beating in a final, his Tunisian opponent Mohamed Ben Ali Azebi, while his compatriot, Oussama Mordjane, outclassed Saudi Ziyad bin Ali Mejarshi in the -57 kg final.

In the final of the -60kg class, Algerian boxer Khalil Litim defeated his Tunisian opponent Ali Ben Yahia in the final bout, winning the Arab title of 2024.

Algerian pugilist Bilel Boudjeltia beat Saudi Hassan bin Mohamed Elkaabi by KO in the semi-final of the -71kg, and will fight the final bout on Thursday.
