CAIRO- Algeria’s track cycling team snatched five medals at the 2024 Arab Championships, following the morning’s events of the third day of this competition, held Saturday in the Egyptian capital Cairo.

The gold medal was harvested by the duo Anes Riyahi - Mohamed Hamzaoui in the men’s junior category, while two silver medals were won in the sprint event for the men’s junior and senior categories.

The two bronze medals were harvested by Malak Mechab in the girls’ junior scratch event, and the duo Mohamed Nadjib Assel - Oussama Abdallah Mimouni in the men’s senior Madison.

Algeria has won a total of 22 medals (4 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze) since the opening of this competition.   

The 2024’s edition is taking place in Cairo (Egypt), in the presence of 150 athletes representing eight countries, and competing in 44 races.
