ALGIERS — Algeria’s track cycling team collected a total of 25 medals, including 4 gold, at the Arab Championships of the discipline, which wrapped up Saturday evening in Cairo, Egypt.

Young Anes Riyahi emerged as one of Algeria’s standout performers at the 2024 Arab Track Cycling Championships, personally securing three gold medals.

After dominating the points race and the junior boys’ Keirin, Riyahi secured a third precious metal medal in the pursuit event (junior boys), where he had partnered with Mohamed Hamzaoui.

Malak Mechab secured Algeria’s fourth gold medal in the junior girls’ points race, as her teammates picked up silver and bronze medals in other events.
