At the arrival of the ninth stage, in downtown Ouargla, Reguigui beat Belgian Wouters Rutger (Team Flanders) and his compatriot Hamza Amari in the sprint, clocking 4:26:00.
At the end of this penultimate stage of the Cycling Tour of Algeria 2025, his teammate Hamza Amari, 22, grabbed the yellow jersey of the leader with a total of (30:53:02), ahead of Belgian Wouters Rutger (11 seconds) and Reguigui (17 seconds).
Algerian Yacine Hamza, wearing the yellow jersey from the start of the Tour, slips to the fourth place in the overall rankings, with a 28-second delay.
Hamza Yacine got the best sprinter's green jersey while Youcef Reguigui received the best Algerian's red jersey and the stage winner's blue jersey.
Best climber's polka-dot jersey went to Youcef Reguigui, the white shirt of the best hopeful (U23) to Algerian Mimouni Oussama (Team Development) while Algerian Islam Mansouri (Team Madar Pro-Cycling) received the orange jersey of the day's most combative rider.
In the 10th stage, Monday, the cyclists will compete over a distance of 83.5 km, between Ouargla and Hassi Messaoud.
