Walid Sadi re-elected as President of Algerian Football Federation

ALGIERS - The current President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), Walid Sadi, has been re-elected as President of the federal body for the Olympic term 2025-2029, following the Extraordinary Elective General Assembly (AGEXe) held on Tuesday at the National Army Club of Beni Messous (Algiers).

[ecr] As the sole candidate for his own succession, Sadi (45 years old) received 78 votes out of the 80 voting members present at the General Assembly, with one vote against and one invalid ballot.

His list, composed of 12 members including two vice-presidents and five alternate members, was also approved.

The proceedings of the AGEXe took place in the presence of representatives from the International Federation of Football (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Walid Sadi had been elected on September 21, 2023, as president of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) for the remainder of the Olympic term 2021-2024, replacing Djahid Zefizef, who had resigned.[/ecr]
