The Forum’s final statement expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for having led these efforts and initiatives, recalling his commitment to unifying Palestinian ranks along with his efforts in 2022 to overcome divisions among Palestinian brothers.

During the general debate of this meeting, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the UN, Riyad Mansour, expressed the Palestinian Authority’s gratitude for Algeria’s diplomatic efforts at the Security Council in support of the rights of the Palestinian people.

He particularly highlighted Algeria’s progress in handling the issue of granting full UN membership to the State of Palestine and its unwavering efforts to end the Zionist aggression against the enclave in general and Rafah in particular, notably through the draft submitted by Algeria to the Security Council just two days ago.

Assigned by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, took part on Thursday in Beijing in the 10th ministerial conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.

This meeting culminated in the approval of three important documents, including a joint statement enshrining the convergence of positions between the two parties, Arab and Chinese, vis-à-vis the Palestinian cause, addressing both immediate priorities dictated by the current circumstances and the imperative of resolving the conflict through establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital.

On another level and regarding international energy cooperation, the Forum praised Algeria’s organization of the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) held on March 2nd.
