NEW YORK (United Nations)-Algeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Ambassador Amar Bendjama stressed Tuesday “the urgency of an unimpeded humanitarian access in Sudan, reiterating his call for the international community to redouble efforts to boost humanitarian funding and strengthen the regional response to the "catastrophic" humanitarian situation prevailing in the country.
